I’m a 20 year old NYU English major (yes, I said English major. I know my future holds unemployment) trying to figure things out as I go.
I’m also a lindy hopper (I dance till my ankles bleed) and a belly dancer (shakin’ what my mama gave me). You can bet my downstairs neighbors don’t enjoy me practicing either of those dances.
My big dream is to work as a writer on Saturday Night Live or Conan O’Brien…but my mom says I’ve got to get through school first (aw shucks). I’m currently trying to break into the underground NYC comedy scene…ok, so I go to a lot of shows and hope the performers will recognize me to ask if I would like to work with them. A girl’s got to start somewhere!

Hey! Greetings from a Geek across the Pond.
I was hunting around for Flight of the Conchords images and found one from your site somewhere. I got reading your latest entry about nerds and just wanted to say, from a male nerd to a female nerd, /agree, woot!, ftw.
I’m not what you would call a complete nerd, but I love playing computer games, reading comics and being generally arty in my own strange style. I do enjoy creating web pages in HTML script though…
So.. um, yeah. Good on you ^_^
It seems everything is about confidence.. whatever it is you try to do. For me I need a boost just to go into a store to purchase things, I hate being out and about.
